Splendid Care Assisted Living is Hiring an Activities Coordinator ( Part-Time) Near Gainesville, FL
Splendid Care is seeking a dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our team. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing recreational activities and events for our residents, particularly seniors.
Job Functions:
- Develop and implement engaging activities to enhance the quality of life for residents
-Provide residents with information & referrals to access community rescources and services.
-Comprehensively evaluate each resident to determin past and present interests, abilities, medical limitations, and activity needs; document results of evalutation in residents chart.
-Manage departmental budget for programming in a manner that maximizes rescources and delivers a meaningful activity program within budget.
- Coordinate social events, outings, and group activities
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Manage activity schedules and ensure activities are running smoothly
- Collaborate with staff to address residents' needs and preferences
- Organize and oversee recreational therapy programs and activities
- Plan and execute special events such as holiday celebrations and themed parties
Qualifiaction:
- High School Diploma/College Degree
- 3 Years providing activity programming in an assisted living facility.
- Exerience in social work, care, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
-Comfortable anwering phones, working with business email and software
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and senior care best practices
- Strong organizational skills for schedule management and event planning
- Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a assisted living environment
- Background in recreational therapy is a plus
-Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Self-starter, multi-tasker, and strong communicator
Elder care experience is preferred and the ability to pass a level 2 background screen required. Applicants must possess an interest in caring for the elderly's essential needs with compassion, kindness and professionalism.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
